		<description>Charles,

Thanks for stopping by. When I worked that job (by the way...it was in a cube farm too) I had two children, a mortgage, and was the major breadwinner. I couldn&#039;t just quit without having something else lined up, because there were bills to pay, etc.

If I was living alone, I probably could have managed quitting and found a way to survive before I found a new job.

It was rough, but I sucked it up and dealt with it until I found a new gig. Not everyone can just up and quit the job they hate, but if you can swing it...more power to you.

<description>Back in the early 90&#039;s I made a very conscious decision to never work in the service industry ever again. The money was great. I am talking three hundred bucks a day great.

I then worked for art organizations. (I am afterall an artist)

In early 2K, I have totally decided to not work for anyone ever again. I make my living on my own. That&#039;s it.

I decided that if I have the skill sets to make money for someone else than I have the ability to work for myself. How hard could that be?

The first year is so frigging hard. But if you stick it out you can wake up at noon and make your own expresso on your own thousand dollar expresso machine.

I hate the hippy mentality of why do you have to work for the man. Well, we do. We have to work to eat and survive hippie assholes.

But I&#039;m not a team player either. Gophering in cubicles is not for the likes of me.

If you don&#039;t like your job. Quit.

Don&#039;t devise way to cope with your job. Quit the job and do what you want to do. How hard could that be?

		<description>Michael,

You make an excellent point...if you work outside of the home, leave work at work, and then it doesn&#039;t infiltrate your home sanctuary.

<description>My job has its moments, where I hate it, but I leave work crap at work and pick it up again when I go back. I stopped doing computer work at home for work and do it on work time which has helped the stress level.
