Thanks for the few samples. I would suggest people using your template as it is short, sweat, precise and easy to use.

Your template also showed some which i have not seen before. Thanks alot!

Thank you so much for the resignation letter ideas. I will use a few lines from each and let you know how it turns out. I have been with my company for 19 years. This was a hard decision. I will miss the people, not too much the stressful job.

It's been wonderful staying at home enjoying my time with my little one while on leave, however that runs out in a few days. When I look at my lil' one I can't imagine leaving him. With my other two kids I was not able to do this and felt guilty as ever leaving them. So as long as we are on a budget things should be fine. It's been wonderful staying at home with my little one and are praying for one more. Hopefully soon... Thank you again and God Bless

I did find your site by searching for stay at home mom resignation letters. But, I was looking to turn it into my husband and resign as a SAHM. As a joke of course. I'll never regret the decision to give up a career to raise my four children myself.
At first I thought I would just do it until they were in school, but then you realize the older they get the more they need you.

I was also looking for help on a resignation letter while on maternity leave. This can be sticky if you intended to return (and used benefits for the birth!).

I didn't find anything online, so I just winged it. This is what I said:

With regret, I submit my resignation as Blah Blah effective immediately. I have thoroughly enjoyed my work at Blah Corp., but after experiencing the joy of being home with my new son, I have decided to stay home with him full-time. If a part-time position ever becomes available, I would love to work with Blah Corp in the future.

I deeply appreciate the skills I have gained and the friendships I have made here. I feel that the work done at Blah Corp. is crucial and I am glad I have been a part of it.

Since I planned carefully for a long maternity leave, I don’t anticipate there being much difficulty in this transition. However, I would be happy to help with the transition in any way I can. Feel free to contact me for any reason.

Sincerely,

Mom

{{I did try to work out returning for just a few hours a week at my job, but they needed someone full time and aren't certain they have the budget for part-time. This is fine with me, as I was uncertain about whether I REALLY wanted to work a few hours a week}}

I hope this helps someone! I am still unsure about whether they will ask me to repay the money the company paid for my benefits during my leave. They are leagally able to do that--but realisticlly never do. My fingers are crossed!
